  • Mix flour, sugar, yeast, mixed spice in bowl and add 1 tsp salt (away from yeast)
  • Mix melted butter, warm milk and water - make sure not too hot / warm - else will kill yeast
  • Mix together - then knead for 5 / 10 mins -
  • Leave for 1 -> 1.5 hours covered in warm place till doubled in size
  • Mix in the fruit - make into 8 equal size bread rolls
  • Add to baking tray and "flatten" them - they will rise. Cover and leave for hour
  • Brush each with egg wash then add to pre-heated (180 degrees fan ) oven - and bake for 20 mins
  • Remove and allow to cool on wire rack
