Tandoori Chicken Livers

Great as a starter or on toast / flatbread at dinner time

Ingredients
  • 400 g chicken livers (all the sinewy stuff removed)
  • 2 garlic
  • 2 tbsp ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • tsp turmeric
  • tsp garam masala
  • tsp chilli powder
  • coriander (to garnish)
  • 1 green chili (If you want it hotter)
  • 4 tbsp yoguhrt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 slices toast (or 2 flatbreads)
Instructions
  1. Mix 2 tbsp yoghurt, 2 tbsp oil with grated ginger, 2 pieces of grated garlic and the spices. . .. . mix in the liver pieces ..... and put in the fridge for (at least) half an hour
  2. Thinly slice last piece of garlic and the green chilli (if using) - and fry for 5 mins
  3. Add in liver mixture and fry for further 10 mins - till cooked
  4. Meanwhile - toast the bread
  5. Server liver on the bread - with yoghurt and coriander on top. Add squeeze of lime / lime juice for extra taste
