Portuguese cabbage soup

Ingredients
  • savoy cabbage (shredded)
  • large onion
  • 4 large potatoes (peeled and cut into 1cm chunks)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2` sticks celery
  • 2 l veg / chicken stock
  • salt, pepper
  • tbsp smoked paprika
  • 4 sausages / lumps of black pudding (spicy if possible)
Instructions
  1. chop onion, garlic, celery and cook in oil for 10 mins or so
  2. add in chopped potatoes, sausage/black pudding and cabbage and cook for a few more mins
  3. Add in stock, bay leaf and paprika
  4. Cook for 45 mins or so
