Instructions
- Cut pork shoulder into 6 to 8 large pieces - pat dry with paper towel OPTIONAL - season with salt / pepper / cumin - and quickly brown all pieces with a bit of oil in slow cooker then set aside
- [Once all pieces are browned then return all to pot and] add in rest of ingredients EITHER slow cook for 8 to 10 hours OR Cover and put in fridge overnight (better flavour)
- Once done then remove pork and shred .. then add back into the liquid.
- For real mexican carnitas you should take out a chunk of shredded pork and fry till a bit crispy before throwing into tacos / burritos etc
