Ice Cream

Homemade ice cream -- feel free to embelish with chocolate chunks / maltesers etc Made in my ice cream maker

Ingredients
  • 200 g double cream
  • 200 ml skimmed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50 g icing sugar
Instructions
  1. Add eggs yolks + sugar to glass bowl and beat together
  2. Gently bring milk to boil in saucepan then slowly add to the egs/sugar - beating it as you go
  3. Return the mix to pan and gently heat till it thickens and forms a custard - then remove from heat and leave till cooled / set
  4. Add the vanilla / cream, mix, then add to the ice cream maker
